HOW TO REALIZE FARMERS' RIGHTS AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL:

Step 7: Promoting the right to equitably participate in benefit sharing

This page will be finalized in 2012. It will include an assessment of laws, regulations, policies (including incentive structures) and programmes relevant for the right to participate in benefit sharing. Furthermore, it will present options for promoting this right, covering a wide variety of incentive structures, reward and support mechanisms. Mechanisms to ensure the recognition of farmers' contributions to the global genetic pool will also be presented.
